ABOUT US

NOTES FROM THE FOUNDER

My first front row seat to golf came in the cart barn at the now defunct Texaco Country Club in Houston, Texas. Long days cleaning carts and wandering a largely unkempt course with a wedge and muddy golf balls pulled from the bayou sparked a lifelong fascination with the game.

In college, I worked nearly every job a course had to offer. I went from the cart barn and course marshal at the local muni to caddying at the nicest club in town, where the difference between a good read and a bad one often determined the size of the bar tab that night.

Those experiences became the foundation for Course Management, a celebration of the people who make the game possible. From the architects who shape the land and the superintendents and grounds crews who care for it, to the staff behind the counter and the players finding their own way around the course, everyone plays a part.

Course Management celebrates the creativity found throughout the game, from the routing, contours, hazards, and choices that define a course to the patience, imagination, and persistence required to play.

Through storytelling and product, Course Management explores the people, places, and ideas that shape golf. We exist to share the stories of courses, players, architects, designers, and those working behind the scenes, while drawing inspiration from the game’s rich culture, visual language, and creative spirit. The result is thoughtful, distinctive products made to be enjoyed both on and off the course.
